Black Stars forward Jordan Ayew is all but a Leicester City player after an agreement was struck between Crystal Palace and Leicester City.
According to Edmund Brack of the South London Press, the forward will join Leicester City for an initial amount of eight million pounds with add-ons included in the two year deal.
Reports linking the 32 year old player to Leicester City has been widely reported since Ayew dropped down the pecking order at Palace.
Despite losing Michael Olise to Bayern Munich this offseason, Ayew’s position in the team has been shaky since Ismaila Sarr was signed to replace Olise.
According to Alan Nixon, Leicester City made an offer of four million pounds before upping their offer to six million pounds. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
Crystal Palace was initially seeking a 10 million pound offer at a time Jordan Ayew courted reported interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia.
Ayew was heading into the final season of his contract with Palace after extending his deal by a year early in the 2023-2024 season.
Jordan Ayew worked with Leicester City manager Steve Cooper at Swansea City; fellow Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku plays at Leicester City.
