Consumers of fuel or petroleum products are beaming with smiles as they visit oil marketing companies (OMCs) to fill their tanks.
This positive sentiment comes as some OMCs have begun marginally reducing retail prices at the pumps with the start of the second pricing window for August.
This marks the second consecutive decline in fuel prices, following a similar reduction in the first pricing window earlier this month.
In this second pricing window of August, state-owned GOIL, for instance, is currently retailing petrol (Super XP) at GHȼ14.22, down from GHȼ14.42 in the first pricing window.
Diesel (Diesel XP), which was previously selling at GHȼ14.99, is now selling at GHȼ14.90.
It is expected that more oil marketing companies will reduce the prices of petroleum products at the pumps in the coming days.
