Ghanaian actor John Peasah, popularly known as Drogba from the YOLO series, has appealed to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to honor his pledge to sponsor his treatment overseas.
The actor took to Instagram to thank Dr. Bawumia for welcoming him to his office earlier. Despite his gratitude, he shared that he was still struggling with pain and kindly reminded the Vice President of his promise to support his demyelination treatment overseas.
“I want to use this opportunity to thank the vice president of the land @mbawumia for honoring my visit to his office and the support but I would like to say that I might look better but inwardly I’m in excruciating pain….this pain is not explainable!!!Please I want to remind him not to forget his promise for my treatment outside…Thank you,” he wrote on a post featuring a picture of himself and the vice president.
In March 2024, it would be recalled that the actor disclosed his struggles with demyelination, a medical condition that damages the protective covering of the nerves, leading to progressive muscle stiffness, excruciating pain, impaired vision, and poor body coordination.
